Taught English at my high school and was so encouraging with my budding story-writing. She was so enthusiastic about my first 'manuscript', reading it for me and offering helpful feedback. Her classes were often disrupted by some unruly pupils taking the mickey but she always managed to get her message across without having to resort to shouting. A really excellent, motivational teacher who seemed to love the subject and it definitely rubbed off on me!
